Ta-da … remember that it’s fake. To read the whole story about the Grandis Fir. Please click on the blogpost link below.
The living quarters in our house are divided over two rooms. We've turned the left room into a dining room and the right room into a so called “drawing room”. We have a teeny tiny TV in this room we don’t really use as we watch stuff on our iPads. Bo likes sports and complicated documentaries and I watch anything watchable but no linear TV. So now it’s functioning as a Christmas painting. The books are only sorted by color because they are all cookbooks. I’ve tried this with our bookcase in the attic but it didn’t work as we always had to remember the colour of a book and that was just a nightmare.
If you sit on the sofa and turn your head around this will be the view. You can also see the Christmas tree from the kitchen.
I start with lights, next are the cheap-ass IKEA gold ornaments I’ve had for over 20 years and then I start adding the vintage Polish glass ornaments I won many moons ago on eBay. I’ve paid $50 for 250 ornaments and $15 for shipping. I can decorate two large trees and one small one with all the ornaments and if I were to sell them individually now I think I can buy a nice small car from the profits. They are my inheritance ;o) I also prefer birds and bows instead of tinsel and garlands.
So am I happy with my fake tree? a thousand times YES!
Love, Yvonne xxx
